Project Manager, Federal Facilities Unit, Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Division

 

Mark is a Project Manager in the Federal Facilities Unit of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s (CDPHE) Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Division’s (HMWMD) Remediation Program. He has been with the Remediation Program since 2021 where he works closely with Department of Defense (DoD) counterparts overseeing investigations and remedial actions under RCRA and CERCLA framework for a wide variety of contaminants at federal facility sites in Colorado. Prior to joining CDPHE, Mark spent 13 years as a consultant with a focus on project management and providing direct client support, regulatory coordination, and field work planning/reporting primarily for commercial and industrial facilities. Mark is a registered Professional Geologist in California and Wyoming and also a California Certified Hydrogeologist. Mark received a Master’s degree in Hydrologic Science and Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
