PEMA’s purpose is to encourage the education, interaction, and professional skill development for our members and professionals both within and intersecting the environmental industry. Monthly educational, networking, and social events are held to help facilitate these goals while reconciling environmental protection with other public and private needs and priorities.

Since its founding in 1991, the PEMA of Southern California has grown to become the largest and most active environmental trade association in the Southland. The monthly luncheon meetings feature speakers from key areas of interest to the environmental industry, ranging from regulatory impacts on business to project opportunities with owners such as Port of LA/Port of Long Beach, Tesoro, and the U.S. Navy. In addition, our association holds seminars, a charity golf tournament and a number of networking events throughout the year.
