Oscar Martinez has over 30 years of expertise in analytical chemistry and environmental consulting. Holding roles as a Senior Project Manager and Senior Program Chemist, he oversees critical tasks such as performing analytical data validation for various projects, ensuring data quality and usability. Additionally, Oscar manages a spectrum of data validation and quality assurance oversight initiatives. His proficiency spans diverse analytical methodologies and protocols, encompassing standards from the Department of Defense Quality System Manual (QSM), US EPA Contract Laboratory Program (CLP), Hazardous Waste Test Methods (SW-846), Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, ASTM International Standards, and Title 40 Part 136 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
Mr. Martinez is Halff's Subject Matter Expert for Per and Polyfluoralkyl Substances (PFAS). In the past eight years, Oscar has led extensive PFAS investigations for the Air Force, US Corps of Engineers, Federal, State, and local regulatory bodies. His teams have conducted comprehensive sampling efforts, gathering thousands of PFAS samples from water, soil, and air sources. Collaborating with various teaming partners, Oscar and the Halff team are actively engaged in developing remediation technologies, implementing preventative measures, and evaluating destruction and removal technologies to address PFAS contamination effectively.
