Kela Ashworth, B.Sc., is a professional scientist at SiREM based in Guelph, Ontario with an Honours Bachelor Degree of Science in Chemical Physics from the University of Guelph. Over the past 14 years Kela has managed numerous bench-scale studies evaluating remediation technologies for contaminants including chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, metals and other recalcitrant compounds in soil, sediment, and groundwater. She has also been involved in developing protocols for evaluating new technologies in the laboratory (i.e., electrokinetics, combined chemical oxidation chemistries, PFAS and new analytical techniques including compound specific isotope analysis).
